    Awarded the “5 Million-dollar Export Tower” At the 50th Trade Day Ceremony
    President Geunhye Park Attended and Delivered a Congratulatory Address, Awarded and Encouraged the Winners


    CEO Keeyoung Park at Global Play • Music • Art Program Gymboree Korea, Gymworld Inc. (or “Gymboree Korea”) was awarded the “5 Million-dollar Export Tower” at the 50th trade day ceremony held at the COEX on December 5th.


    The event which is organized by the Korea International Trade Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy was attended by 1,400 people including President Geunhye Park, people who contribute to exports, government officials and heads of relevant departments. President Geunhye Park personally awarded and encouraged the winners saying "We have to move towards a second entry into trade’ to achieve an economic revival through trading."


    'Trade day (previously, export day)' was implemented by the Korean government after passing the 85th Cabinet meeting, to celebrate the export record of 100 million dollars achieved for the first time; 'the 1st Export Day' was enacted on November 30th, 1964. The day is to a nationwide export atmosphere by awarding the people who contribute to it.


    The 'Export Tower' was started to award companies that achieved 100 million dollars in exports for the first time in 1973. A company will be awarded if its export earnings are more than each amount of the Export Tower during a certain period of time. CEO Keeyoung Park was awarded the '5 Million-dollar Export Tower' for companies that exported more than 5 million dollars’ worth of goods.


    Gymboree Korea gave an acceptance speech that said, "We are very honored to receive a meaningful award at this significant event for the 50th anniversary of trade day. Gymboree Korea will continue to grow as a leader of the infant and child education market in the future."
